This English translation of the Swedish handloom weaving chart book is a companion book to The Swedish Weaving Book and can be used in conjunction with it.
The same three authors carefully explain each weave diagram, close-up photos of the fabric are shown next to each drawing, and the text details each structure in a way that is directly understandable. After the myriad variations of plain weave, twill, and satin, the category of block weaves (block damask, half-drel, overshot, etc.) appears. Other chapters include honeycomb, cord, corduroy, lace weave, rizelle, waffle weave, crepe, and piqué. Later in the book, you'll find double weave, shadow weave, and color variations. At the end of the book, you can search by technique. This is a must-have book for weavers, and will be of great help when designing patterns.
