This is a kit containing yarn and an English pattern for the Magdalenasjal (Magdalena shawl) by Norwegian yarn manufacturer RAUMA GARN.
This elegant triangular shawl features decorative eyelet closures. It comes in two sizes, small and large. While light and airy, it also provides excellent warmth.
The shawl is knitted with Finull, working back and forth in garter stitch, progressing from tip to tip. After completion, it is gently felted by hand.
The result is a soft shawl with a slightly brushed surface that drapes beautifully. It has the sophisticated feel of a piece purchased from a high-end boutique.
Finull is made from 100% Norwegian wool at RAUMA GARN's own factory in Romsdalen, Norway.
Norwegian wool is characterized by excellent elasticity, high durability, and longevity. Projects knitted with Finull can be enjoyed for a long time without compromising quality, even after repeated wear and washing.
The shawl needs to be lightly felted to bring out the fluffy brushed texture of the wool and to prevent the edges from curling.
