Sandnes Garn's original knitting pattern. A sweater with a traditional Norwegian pattern.
From the neck down it's Peer Gynt tweed and a Peer Gynt work sweater. The pattern includes both a top-down and a hem-up version.
From the neck down:
Start at the back and work down to the armpits. Continue working up each shoulder stitch on the left and right front pieces. Start a new stitch at the neck to create a neckline, shape and join the two front pieces together. Work the front pieces down to the armpits. Join the back and front pieces. Continue working the back and front pieces in the round.
Finish with ribbing. Knit up each armhole stitch on the sleeves. Knit the sleeves in the round and finish with ribbing. Knit the neckband in ribbing.
From the hem up:
Start with ribbing and continue knitting in the main color until the armpits. At this point, divide the work into back and front and knit each part separately using the pattern according to the diagram. Knit the sleeves in the round from the ribbing up, and for the top use the pattern according to the diagram. Knit the neckband.
The model is 174cm tall and is wearing a size M.
