Recycled cotton made from 100% virgin cotton waste (unused fiber) generated in Japanese spinning mills.
In cotton spinning factories, when spinning yarn, the cotton dust and short fibers that are generated when the cotton fibers are aligned with a comb are called "false cotton." This factory, one of the largest in Japan, located in Shimane Prefecture, spins yarn using a unique spinning method and generates relatively long-pile fallen cotton.
This cotton lint is usually sold to futon batting dealers or disposed of, but it is softly spun again with a loose twist on a spinning line dedicated to recycled cotton set up in the same factory, making it an eco-recycled material that is GENUINE "MADE IN JAPAN".

KINARI's 'itou' yarn is not dyed and retains the texture of the yarn as it was when it was spun. If you use it as is, it will shrink slightly (5-10%) after washing compared to other colors, so we recommend knitting it a little larger.
