The part from the neck down is knitted using a moss stitch pattern and two mandarin petite strands.
Mandarin Petit (Available in our store)
- Knitting needles: 3.5 mm and 4.5 mm
- Gauge: 18 stitches = 10 cm
- Add a single button or ribbon of your choice, or create a cord to close at the back.
Start with a stitch on each side of the front, work back and forth, increasing stitches, to create a neckline. Join the two front sides together and continue working to the armpits. Complete with a stitch on each side of the back, work back and forth, increasing stitches at the neckline. Work the two sides separately to the armpits and join the back to the front. Work back and forth until the full length is reached and finish with ribbing. Rib the front, armholes and neck band. Choose from a cord, ribbon or button that goes through the neckband hole.
