このセーターはトップダウンで編み進め、2本どりで編むデザインです。片側の肩にはボタンとボタンホール付きのバンドがあり、そのディテールがネックバンドまで続くエレガントなデザインが特徴です。
まず後ろ身頃の目を作り目し、肩に傾斜をつけるために引き返し編みをしながら往復編みで編みます。続いて左前身頃の目を拾い、ネックラインを形作るための増し目をしながら往復編みをします。次に右前身頃の目を作り、同様に編み進めた後、左右の前身頃をつなげて一つの前身頃として編みます。脇下まで往復編みで編み進めます。
その後、輪編みにして編み続け、最後はリブ編みで仕上げます。ネックバンドは往復編みで編み、ボタンバンド部分に開きができるようにします。右肩からネックバンドにかけてのボタンバンドはダブルニッティングで編みます。
最後にアームホールから目を拾って袖を編みます。袖は輪でメリヤス編みにし、脇下で減らし目を行いながら編み進め、最後はリブ編みで仕上げます。
このセーターは
PEER GYNT + TYNN SILK MOHAIR または
DOUBLE SUNDAY + TYNN SILK MOHAIR
の組み合わせで編むことができます。ただし、この2つの組み合わせでは同じゲージを出すために使用する針のサイズが異なります。正しいゲージを得るため、必ず適切な針サイズを使用してください。
