Bomull Stranggarn Swedish Cotton Binding Thread 14/45

This is bleached white 14/45 cotton binding thread from Garnhuset I Kinna, a factory located in the southwest of Sweden.
Sträng means "string" in Swedish, and is a yarn used exclusively as the weft thread in rips (rib) weaves.
It is a fairly thick thread, so it is recommended for weaving mats.
In the photo of hand woven fabric shown here, 16/2 is used for the warp thread and this binding thread and 16/2 are used for the weft thread.

GarnhusetIKinna is a yarn manufacturer run by Claes Hedstrom, a dye craftsman who is also the owner. The colors produced by the company's dyeing techniques are well developed and suitable for weaving. The products are also of high quality and offer excellent cost performance.
