Sisu is a soft, durable yarn reinforced with nylon. It is ideal for socks, but its softness has made it increasingly popular for utility wear layered under snowsuits and jackets. Since the early 1980s, it has also been favored for knitting kofte sweaters, a traditional knitted jacket, because the yarn structure enhances the pattern of the kofte . Garments knitted with Sisu have a long lifespan and will remain beautiful for generations to come.
The yarn has been superwashed to withstand frequent machine washing.
If washing in a washing machine, we recommend washing all woolen items separately on the wool cycle. Wool items can be washed gently. Centrifuge thoroughly and dry preferably flat on a towel. Do not use a laundry bag for hand-knitted woolen items as friction can cause felting.
